With the Easter holidays just around the corner, Y9 and Y10 German students spent their last week before the holidays learning all about German Easter traditions.
As well as solving an Easter puzzle, the students competed in a vocabulary memory race and an egg and sack race. Activities such as the vocabulary memory run are particularly beneficial to students' learning as they are physically active while testing their language knowledge in competition with their peers. The winning teams in each class were rewarded by their teachers with an Easter basket. The week ended with a traditional German Easter breakfast. The students enjoyed the culinary exposure to German food culture and were sent off for their break in an early Easter mood. Well deserved!
