Geoff Mirkin (#2105, 1966-1970) is leading the team of Dunedin lawyers who are providing pro bono assistance to the many victims of the Barry Kloogh investment disaster.
In Mike Houlahan’s article in the ODT (Saturday, November 2, 2019 https://www.odt.co.nz/news/dunedin/kloogh-clients-left-limbo ) Geoff says “They (the investors) can’t understand why it has happened to them. In one sentence, lawyer Geoff Mirkin summed up the despair of the people who have been affected by the liquidation of now former financial adviser Barry Kloogh’s companies…… Several Dunedin legal professionals, including Mr Mirkin, have given many many hours of their time so far, free of charge, to try to help some of the affected people.” Well done Geoff.
